[Review] Sleek Face Contour Kit (Light)

Hello Barbies~!
Hope you're all doing well today!

In today's post, I wanted to share my thoughts on the Sleek Face Contour Kit in the shade Light. Actually, I got this product a while ago from Delania Marvella's Giveaway. Unfortunately, I was so busy with college back then, so I didn't have enough time to make a review. But now, I got plenty of time! (yeayy holiday~!)

Without further ado, let's jump onto the review!

Contents: 14g / 0.48oz
Description:
The pressed powder can be used to create shadows on the face to contour it, such as defining the jaw line or contouring the cheekbones. The shimmer powder can be used as a highlighter, to reflect light off the face, and can be placed in various places such as the apple of the cheek, the temple, the tip of the nose, etc.

This iconic duo compact is an essential tool for achieving a beautifully sculpted and defined appearance.
  • Includes a silky, matte, easy to blend contour powder and an illuminating highlighter for a natural glow.
  • Can be used together or individually.

How to apply:
  • Using a brush, apply the pressed powder to the apple of the cheeks for a darker, define look.
  • Then apply the highlighter to the upper and lower area of the cheekbones for a highlighted contour.

I really love the packaging. It's very simple, sleek, and also small so it's very travel friendly. There's also an instruction or guide in how to apply the product. It tells you the step-by-step on how to contour and highlight your face perfectly. It's really helpful if you didn't know how to contour and highlight or if you're new to makeup.

When you open the palette, there's a huge mirror, which is a huge plus if you want to do some touch ups and there's no mirror. Really handy and practical.

Here's a closer look on the shade. The contour is a matte medium brown shade with a warm undertone, while the highlight is a shimmery cream color with a little hint of champagne in it. I love it! When applying this, I use the Real Techniques Multi Task brush for contouring my face, the Domed Shadow brush for contouring my nose or applying it as an eye shadow, and the Essential Foundation brush for highlighting the high points of my face.

Swatchy-swatchy time~!
*Please excuse that pink stain next to the contour shade*
I'm not a contour-and-highlight kind of girl, so I didn't use this palette that often. But I use it only for special occasion or whenever I feel like I want to sculpt and highlight my face. I've used this a few times, and I really enjoy this palette. The formula on both shade is really great. They feel really silky smooth and buttery. The highlight shade have enough shimmer and it gives me a really nice sheen and glow to my face. Even though I have a combination to oily skin, I do enjoy using the highlight shade to highlight my cheekbones. Oh, I almost forgot! The staying power is really great as well. I use this once for my brother's graduation and this stays on for the entire day on my face! I kid you not!

What I LOVE:
  • Matte bronzer/contour shade
  • Travel friendly
  • Huge mirror
  • The packaging is very sleek (hence the brand's name)
  • Great staying power
  • There's a guide or instruction included (perfect for beginners like moi!)

What I HATE:
  • None

Price: $9.99, you can buy it on Sleek's website | Luxola or on any online shops.
Repurchase? Maybe. I'm not a contour-n-highlight kind of girl, so I don't know..

Rating:

Overall, I'm loving this product! The shade, the finish, and the formula is really good. As I said, I'm not used to contour or highlight my face, so this product will last me my whole life! Seriously! I only use this on special occasions when I had to get all dolled up.

That's it for today's review! Thank you so much for spending some time visiting and reading my blog. I really really appreciate it :)

Have a great day~!
